A new comprehensive dimensionless inflow performance relationship for gas wells

Abstract Prediction of gas well deliverability is important for reservoir management. Conventional flow after flow, isochronal or modified tests are common methods calculation deliverability. Single-point test using Vogel-type dimensionless inflow performance relationships (IPR) was also proposed to overcome the need multi-point tests. However, analysis field data showed that existing IPR correlations fail accurately predict some conditions. In this study, a wide range rock and fluid used develop comprehensive correlation from single-point data. Multi-point 61 different wells 15 fields were compare predicted absolute open (AOF) calculated AOF The validation cover actual AOFs (2.1–1411 MMSCF/D).
